My name is Graham. I love being fit and feeling great and apart from chasing after my granddaughter, I love helping others achieve their physical well-being through massage.
Since gaining my massage qualifications from the Australian Institute of Fitness, I have worked for various massage corporates, operated a mobile-massage service, and provided massage for charity events and promotions.
This taught me to be flexible and adaptable due to the vast range of environments I was thrown in and consequently the uniqueness of every individual I treated. This ranged from providing treatments to clients for 5 minute neck/shoulder massages, full-body work in work-places, to providing services to the staff at a Sydney hospital which was certainly a highlight.
After a long and arduous few decades in accounting, I finally made the decision to pursue studies in massage therapy, something I’d been longing to do due to my long-standing desire to help people in a real, tangible way.
I’ve always been fascinated by the human body and its mechanics, and being someone whose life has revolved around fitness in some way, I think the importance of remedial massage in its ability to help release tension as well as improve performance is underappreciated. It is most certainly enjoyable for the client, and helps them to feel better, so seeing improvement and being part of that journey to achieve certain goals is paramount for me.
Working with aged-care and disabled clients requires a different approach which I have also had the pleasure of engaging in, where the intention is not only enhancing range of motion and easing aches and pains, but to relax and soothe the nervous system and thus having a positive psychological effect through the power of touch.
Through the years and constant study my favourite techniques include myofascial release, trigger point therapy, PNF stretching and range of motion with postural analysis, so although I’ve treated a great range of issues, my style naturally gravitates to sports/remedial and deep tissue massage.
Trust and integrity is of the utmost importance, and working together to help improve any aspect of musculature you want to zero in on in a way that works for you is my top priority.
I always give 110% to my clients in order to get you feeling better the first time you walk out the door! Look forward to seeing you. ‘
